The dried, processed nut of the cashew fruit (the true botanical fruit) is a common nut. Cashew butter, cashew milk, etc. are produced from it.

The juicy fruit part (the accessory fruit) known as a "cashew apple" is much less widely known but is available in tropical countries that grow cashews. Keenan has never eaten fresh cashew apple, but cashew apple juice concentrate was found at La Azteca #2 market in San Rafael.
