Byrsonima crassifolia yields small round fruits, each with a pit in the middle, with a fibrous yet juicy texture, and a flavor that is very pungent and hard to describe. I find it somewhat similar to the "tangy blue cheese" or perhaps vomit-like flavor of noni (Morinda citrifolia).

They are available jarred at some Latin American grocery stores carrying Guatemalan products.
