Pepper could refer to:
- Capsicum, the chili peppers, whose fruit (especially the seeds and seed membranes) contains capsaicin which gives a spicy "heat"
- Piper, a genus containing several plants called "pepper", but unrelated to Capsicum:
- Black pepper, Piper nigrum, which is processed into black, white, and green peppercorns
- Long pepper, Piper longum, a much less common spice with a similar flavor
